Post 10: my experience in this course

Hi, today I am going to talk about my experience in this course. When I was in English 3, the class was only of the teacher, the classes were theories, and the teacher explained the topics, the students did not participate much, and this made the class very boring. Now in English 4, the teacher is very dynamic, the class is more entertaining, especially the second hour, in this second hour the students participate in the activities of what the teacher does, although sometimes it gives a bit of embarrassment, just like it is very entertaining. In general, my experience in this course has been very good, I always hated English, since high school, I almost never went to English classes or invented something to get out of class, I really hated English, especially listening, my teacher of 3 grade in high school all the year did listening, I hate this teacher too. In the university, the way of learning English is different, writing the blog is good for practice, and improves g...

Post 9: Curriculum

Imagen
Hi, today I am going to talk about the changes that I would like to make in the curriculum. I started studying architecture last year and I'm part of the first generation with the new curriculum, the university took 10 years to make the new curriculum, and I think it still does not work well, maybe because we are the proof of the new curriculum. With this new curricular some subjects were maintained, others were mixed, and new ones appeared. Like PHS and Transversal, the first is a class in which we are taught to design and build in a sustainable way, but the way in which the course was presented or done last semester did not work well, and despite having approved the subject, I think I did not learn much. The second is a course where we should be with students of the other courses of the faculty of geography and design, but in reality, it is not like that, there are few transversal ones that have students of the other courses and the content of the classes is in many cases Th...

post 7: Santiago Stories.

Hi, today I'm going to talking about the Santiago stories, specifically public transport stories. In general, I walk or use the bus to move around the city, but my travels are very short, from my house to University I take 5 minutes by bus, so it’s rare that something interesting happens to me along the way. But with so many trips something to happen to me. One day when I was in a hurry to get to my house, because I have work for workshop, I said: “mmm… I will go by bus to get there faster”, I went to the whereabouts and the bus passed immediately and there were free seats, and I said: “fantastic!!!”, I sit down, I wear headphones and start listening to music, some minutes passed and the bus collided with a car, it was a smooth collision, the card was left with a very small mark, but inside the card there was a baby, so his dad was very angry, he put his car in front of the bus and did not let us move forward, the people inside the bus were very upset, including me, a lady ca...

post 6: postgraduate

Imagen
Hello today I'm going to talk about my future after graduating, although I still have three and a half years left for that 😪 Before I entered college and generally before choosing my career, my plans were to study a career, then get a magister and if possible a doctorate. Now that I enter university and I am studying architecture I have not thought much about whether or not to take a postgraduate course, architecture is a very heavy race and does not leave you much free time to think about such things. Now that they have raised the issue and given myself the time to think about it, I think what I want to do after graduating is to work and travel to get me out of five and a half years of studies and university stress, and then of a time (a year or two) to enter a magister on sustainability or something related to green areas and collective public spaces, last year I met the architect Teresa Moller, who works as a landscaper and I is in love with her work (tip pite and white ...

post 5: work

Imagen
Hello again dear friends, today I am going to talk about my future work, or rather the job that I would like to have. As I said in previous blogs, I am an architecture student, and I would like to work in the career that I am studying. Architects have several areas of work, such as designer, technical inspector, urban advisor, supervisor, project management, etc. Personally, I would like to work in design, I like to create things and I would love to see my designs built, the idea of being able to see something that came out of your head, that works and is useful for people, simply I love. But I do not like the idea of designing houses or residential buildings I would like to work on things like parks and public spaces, or buildings of a collective social nature, an architect is a professional difficult to pay for, that's why I like to think of making architecture that can reach to all the people. Many times, the architects who work designing, tend to be much in the office, I wou...

post 4: Stress

Imagen
Hi! I am going to talk about a matter not very grateful, stress in workshop :c Workshop is the central subject of the Architecture Career, in this subject where you realize the projects, you learn to show a project, to make models, etc. That's why he takes the longest time in the university Since entering university I have been in four different workshops, for me the first one was the one that meant the biggest change, in high school I did not need to study and the jobs were simple, and when I had my first workshop I had to work a lot, I did not know how to handle my time (although I still do not learn to do it all xD), I almost did not sleep, in my final delivery, I slept between 2 - 3 hours a day for a week, it was a big change, since in my second workshop things changed a little, I tried to work faster and handle a little more time, although I did not function much jajajaja. The workshop stress comes mainly from time management, in the first year you do not know what teac...

post 3: Cinema

Imagen
Hi! Again, today I am going to talk about…. CINEMA!!! When I was younger, I lived in a small town where there were no Cinema, but if there was a theater, where everything was done, school presentations, social activities, plays and sometimes films were projected. In that theater I saw my first movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, for a long time was my favorite, movie after I moved from city to Coquimbo and met the cinemas, I became addicted to cinema, I went once a week at least. Over time I realized that I loved fantasy movies especially those that had to do with magic. Now my favorite movie is the Prestige, this movie is set in approximately 1900, and tells the story of two magicians obsessed by the other's tricks, this movie is full of mysteries and revelations that leave you shocked and what I love of this movie is that the end is unexpected, and that when you see the end you just understand the whole movie, it really is a very good movie (if you not hav...

Post 2: Concert

Imagen
Hi! Again, today I am going to talk about of my best concert My best concert or rather festival, was in a summer about 3 years ago, I went with my friends to the Arc festival that is done in La Serena - Coquimbo every summer, I had gone before, but that festival was special. The festival started at seven p.m. but we got together at 2 p.m. in the square of arms of the serene that is where the festival was, we saw all the assembly and the rehearsals of the artists, we took pictures with some of the artists that were presented, it was a lot of fun. When the festival started we were in the front row, the artists that were presented were only Chilean artists, first came Nicole, then Camila Moreno, Francisca Valenzuela and finished the False Aces. Everyone who was at the festival was young, so everyone jumped and sang screaming, I ended up super tired after the festival but I had a lot of fun. It was a great festival, I hope I can go again this summer.  goodbye.

Post 6: Photograph

Imagen
Hello, today I'm going to talk about a photograph that I really  like. This photograph is very special for me, because I have a hard time getting photos with this person (since he does not like the photos :/), in this photograph I appear with my boyfriend, when we were in fourth of high school , we were celebrating the 10 th Anniversary of high school, and one of the tests was the “Pasa Calles”, which was like a carnival and we had to disguise ourselves and go out to go around the high school, the photo we took before of going out to walk for the neighbourhood And the photo was taken by one of my teachers, what was very funny is that when I called the teacher to take the picture he thought he was calling to take a picture with him jaja, Likewise later I took a picture with him so he did not feel bad.  Well that more I can tell you about this photo, I hope you like it :).

I like to go to alternative concert of starting bands in different places this concerts are very small, short time of concert and are many bands at the same time. In the future I will like to search more of this kind of concert in Santiago and discover other types of music than the commercial one.

Post 3: technology

Hello again Today's topic is…. Technology !!, a very important part of life today. Until now I had not thought about it, but I think I have two very important technological pieces for me, one: my cell phone and two: my hearing aids. They are very common things (I know), but they are an important part of my daily life, well the first one (the cell phone), is something that most people today do not depart, but that is not what they Makes me important for me, not because, as I am a regional person, my family is far away, and it is the fastest and easiest way to communicate with them, and also allows me to take my music everywhere and where my favorite second piece comes in Technology, hearing aids, well my music is mine and just for me, and I like to go everywhere listening to it and hearing aids allow me to listen to it without disturbing anyone, and that's why I love xD.

Post 2: How I got here

Hello everyone Today I'm going to talk about my career or rather why I decided to study architecture. When I was little (5-6 years old), I loved animals (well until today I love actually I have two beautiful dogs <3), and I wanted to be a veterinarian, but then I realized that I can not stand the blood wounds Nor any of that>. <, So medicine was also ruled out for me, and bigger and with the inheritance of my mother I proposed to study commercial engineering or audit, so I enter a technical high school, to study administration of Companies, but already being there I realized that this was not for me, when I was in third I realized that I had little time to choose and I started to think about what I really wanted to do and that's how it appeared in me Head the architecture, investigate a little and I found interesting, and when it was already the time of the nominations I decided and chose architecture. Until now I do not regret it, it seems a wonderful race, despite...

Post 4: Books

I started reading books since I was little, I do not remember which was the first book I read, but the second (or third I do not remember well xD) was Harry Potter of JK Rowling at age 9, and over time I finished reading the book Complete saga I like fantasy books, and some that tell historical facts from a particular vision, such as the Diary of Anne Frank or The Books Thief, I have also read the books of "fashion" such as the hunters of shadows, the games of hunger, the maze runner, hush-hush, etc. Well actually I do not have a favorite genre, as long as the plot is good read it. One of the books that I liked the most is A happy world of Aldous Huxley, although I have not read many of his books, I like his writing, but I do not have a favorite author, rather I have authors I do not like Carlos Cuauhtemoc And Paulo Coelho, that whenever I was asked to read one of his books in high school, I suffered :(.

I studied in Coquimbo the elementary school and high school, when finish the high school I decided to study architecture in the university of Chile, therefore I moved to Santiago and at present I live alone and I miss much a my family, especially my mom.   I have two sisters and one brother. My two sisters are older than me and my brother is younger than me. Also I have four nephews, they are very naughty. The most part of my time I’m in the university, but my free time I try to do Dancing Arabic that I love or see series and movies in Netflix, and when I have some free Days or in Holidays, I travel to Coquimbo to see my family.

Practice post

I chose to study architecture because I like since young,  always wanted to study this career for I am content with my decision, if I choose another career would be something associated like construction engineer, in spite of I don’t like so much. Of the faculty I dislike the infrastructure, the classroom are uncomfortable and mistreated, and I like the teachers and the critical thought that exist in the Fau. I think that in the faculty there are shortage green space and correct administration of the classrooms for that sometimes two class coincident in the same classroom, this is very important for the faculty to work well.
